In his book The Anxious Generation, American social psychologist Jonathan Haidt raises concerns about how modern life, especially screen addiction and reduced physical activity, has contributed to a mental health crisis among young people. The rise of digital consumption has led to increased anxiety, depression and social isolation. Our bodies, designed for movement, are now often trapped in sedentary routines, further exacerbating stress and emotional instability.

The solution? Movement.

Movement is more than just exercise. It is rhythm and energy—a way to release what we hold inside, to realign and to walk towards ourselves. We often underestimate its power, reducing it to calorie-burning or muscle-toning. But true movement has the ability to heal—not just the body, but the mind and soul too.

Think about it: a deep stretch that unlocks something stored away for years, a run that shakes off the weight of a long day, a dance that leaves you breathless and light. This isn’t just physical exertion; it’s therapy. Studies show that movement boosts endorphins, lowers cortisol levels and fosters a sense of emotional resilience. It calms the nervous system down, reduces anxiety and helps us process emotions in ways words sometimes cannot.

But in a world that constantly demands productivity, movement often feels like a luxury. We sit for hours in front of screens, consumed by deadlines, only to wind down by watching more screens. Our bodies, designed to move, are stuck in stillness and our minds, desperate for release, carry the weight of it all. It’s no wonder we feel restless, disconnected or exhausted.

What if we changed the way we approached movement? What if it became less about fitness goals and more about feeling good? Less about pushing limits and more about finding flow? Movement is medicine, but only when we allow it to be.

This is exactly what the upcoming Wellness Carnival, produced by FindYourFit at DLF Cyber Hub, Gurugram, is set to offer: an opportunity to rediscover the power of movement in all its forms. Whether it’s through yoga, dance, breathwork or something entirely unexpected, the experience will be about more than just moving—it will be about healing, connecting and feeling fully alive.

Programme Overview:

Yoga and the Power of Stretches

Yoga expert Mihir Jogh brings a unique blend of Yoga, Ayurveda, Pranayama and meditation to his session. Attendees can expect a rejuvenating experience that fosters mindful movement, relaxation and a renewed sense of vitality. Building upon this foundation of mindful movement, Vesna Jacob integrates the fluidity of Qi Gong, the grounding of yoga and the core strength of Pilates. Designed to enhance balance, energy and mental harmony, Vesna’s session guides participants through breathwork and movement sequences that release tension and restore inner peace. To complement these full-body practices, Mansi Gulati offers a targeted approach to relaxation and mindfulness. Facial exercises not only promote natural beauty but also serve as a gateway to stress relief. Mansi’s session explores specific techniques that tone muscles, enhance circulation and promote deep relaxation in a holistic way.

Fitness Sessions: Move, Sweat and Flow

Blending strength, agility, and rhythm, these fitness sessions offer a diverse and dynamic approach to movement. Animal Flow with Knox taps into primal bodyweight movements, enhancing mobility, flexibility, and overall physical awareness through fluid, ground-based exercises. Building on this connection to the body, the Dance Fitness Party by Cult Fit transforms movement into pure joy, with high-energy routines that boost endorphins and elevate the spirit. For those looking to channel power and precision, BoxFlow by BoxFit fuses boxing techniques with seamless motion, providing a full-body workout that strengthens endurance and coordination. In a world that keeps us seated, still and stressed, the act of moving is an act of resistance. It’s a reminder that we are not meant to be confined—to our screens, our worries or our expectations. We are meant to move, to breathe deeply, to stretch beyond what we think we’re capable of. And in doing so, we just might find our way back to ourselves.

“Exercise is the most transformative thing you can do for your brain today.”
